Unlock your child's natural potential...
The first seven years of education are probably the most important, as knowledge gained in these years forms the foundations for all future learning. It is never too early to instil children with a love of learning, and a sense of wonder and awe. Whether your child is in year 3 or year 4, or even earlier, we can help ignite their passion for learning, build their self-confidence, and unlock the enormous potential that lies within. Let us help you to give your child the brightest start in education - it all begins with a free, no-obligation assessment
Our first aim is to raise confidence and develop a 'can do' attitude in young children. We believe in teaching in very small groups (maximum 4 in a class) so that your child learns at a steady pace designed for his/her ability. An initial assessment of your child’s current level will help us to draw up a personal education plan (PEP) which we will use to mark progress. This ensures that your child learns at his/her pace and not at the pace set for a whole class or set. We aim to:
- ensure our children read at or above their age level
- develop handwriting and insist on the use of good grammar
- encourage the use of technology as a learning tool
- develop logical thinking skills through numeracy
- enhance self-esteem through public speaking
- reward and praise for each step towards a set goal
How Much Does it Cost?
One lesson @ 1.5 hours per week = £34.00 (Sibling rate = £31.00)
Two lessons @ 3 hours per week = £60.00 (Sibling rate = £47.00)
Please see our tutorial pricing page for more information.
How to Enrol
The after school tutorial serves the needs of children already in school but who need extra teaching in a different, more personal environment. We have small classes of just 4 and our lessons last an hour and a half. Depending on need, some children attend one session a week and others up to three times a week – i.e. a different session for reading & writing, numeracy and grammar. The first step to enrol is request a free assessment.
Once you enrol, we will draw up a personal education plan unique to your child. Our aim to set targets that address any gaps in knowledge and learning. Underpinning our teaching is pastoral care and non academic learning such as thinking skills and general knowledge.
