Isosceles, scalene, acute angles, cosine, parallelogram, y=mx+c, simultaneous equationsâ€¦ Yawn! Maths can seem complex and boring, full of Algebra which you are convinced has no use in real life, who cares if X=5?
We can understand your frustration Maths is one of the most difficult subjects you will study, however it is by far the most important subject you will take for GCSE. You need GCSE maths to study for 6th form at most schools as well as A-levels like physics, chemistry, economics just to name a few. It is also a basic requirement for a whole range of jobs such as doctors, teachers and football players (just kidding!). But seriously did you know that to go to any UK university you need to get at least a C in maths?

Mr Garnett, Mapleâ€™s head teacher suggests two things;
- Ensure you understand the basic fundamentals in maths without it you will struggle to learn the harder stuff.
- Practise Practise Practise you can get better at maths by route learning and repetition. If you are marking the answers yourself make sure you donâ€™t cheat!
